Privacy Policy
We keep it simple. Here's exactly what we collect and why.
Effective: June 2026
Overview
Alien Planet ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile arcade game operated by FortyTwoWarehouse LLC, where players represent their US state or country on a global leaderboard. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
Information We Collect
Alien Planet collects minimal information to provide the game experience:
- Username — A display name you choose voluntarily. It is stored on your device and, if you contribute scores, on our shared leaderboard.
- Game scores — Your scores are added to your chosen territory's collective total on the leaderboard.
- State / country selection — Which territory you choose to represent.
- Anonymous user ID — A randomly generated identifier used to reserve your username and associate your scores. This ID is not linked to your real-world identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
- Device storage — We use your device's local storage to save your personal best scores, chosen username, and sound preference between sessions.
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise or coarse location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data. To support the game, Alien Planet displays banner ads through Google AdMob, which collects your device's advertising identifier, IP address (used to estimate general, non-precise location), ad-interaction data, and crash/diagnostic data. We use non-personalized ads only — these are not based on tracking you across other apps or websites. See the “Advertising” section below for details.
How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely to:
- Operate the game and display leaderboards
- Track your territory's collective score total
- Save your personal best score and preferences on your device
- Show which state or country is currently leading
- Reserve your chosen username so others cannot impersonate you
- Maintain fair competition and remove abusive usernames when reported
We use the information that powers the leaderboard solely to run and maintain the game. Separately, our advertising provider (Google AdMob) collects limited device and ad-interaction data to display non-personalized banner ads, as described in the “Advertising” section. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Leaderboard & Shared Data
Alien Planet features a shared leaderboard that shows collective territory scores and top players. When you contribute scores:
- Your score contribution is added to your territory's total
- Your chosen username and top score may be visible to other players
- This data is visible to all players of the game
You can change or delete your username at any time within the App using the "Delete username" option. You can also report offensive usernames using the report button on the leaderboard.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service to operate the game:
- Google Firebase — Hosts our leaderboard infrastructure. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication and the Firebase Realtime Database to power leaderboards and reserve usernames. Firebase receives and stores your anonymous user ID, chosen username, score, and territory selection. Firebase's privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google AdMob — Serves banner advertisements in the game. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address (to estimate general, non-precise location), ad-interaction data, and crash/diagnostic information to display and measure non-personalized ads and to prevent fraud. AdMob's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and Google's partner-sites notice at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — Handle App distribution and may collect information about your device and App usage in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their policies. We have configured Firebase to collect only what is necessary to operate Alien Planet.
We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
FortyTwoWarehouse LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we do not share personal information for monetary consideration. While we display non-personalized ads through Google AdMob, we do not use your leaderboard information for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Data Retention
- Leaderboard data (username, score, territory) — Retained to preserve historical records and maintain fair competition. You may remove your username and top-player entries at any time using the in-app "Delete username" option, or by contacting us.
- Username reservations — Retained until you change your username or delete it.
- Local device data (personal best, username, preferences) — Stored on your device until you uninstall the App, use the in-app delete option, or clear App data.
Note: Contributions already added to a territory's collective total are part of that territory's cumulative score and are not removed when you delete your username.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in two places:
- Your device — Username, personal best scores, and preferences are stored locally and are removed if you uninstall the App or use the in-app delete option.
- Our servers (Google Cloud) — Territory totals, leaderboard entries, and username reservations are stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States via Google Firebase.
We use industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and server-side database rules to prevent unauthorized writes. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
Alien Planet is designed to be appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in the United States, or under 16 in the European Union, without verifiable parental consent. The game does not require any personal information to play.
If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information through the game, please contact us at support@fortytwowarehouse.com and we will remove it promptly.
